The haamit heimaten festival looks ahead to the year after Chemnitz’s term as European Capital of Culture, focusing in particular on the preservation and maintenance of a liveable environment in the city and its surroundings. As part of the Living Neighbourhood project, charity expert Kathrin Succow advises individuals and institutions on how to become more active as planting partners to create a greener environment. How can resources be optimally allocated and organized, for example when it comes to the twelve-year maintenance that apple trees require? And how can sustainable tree maintenance be achieved in the long term? Based on these questions the workshop focuses on the networking and structuring of sustainable partnerships, as well as practical help in submitting funding applications.
