Juice pressing in the afternoon followed by disco dancing in the evening—for this excursion, part of the haamit heimaten festival, everything revolves around the apple. In the festival tent in front of Neukirchen’s town hall, apples gathered by children will be pressed and served in an apple cafe. Among other festivities, neighbours and visitors are invited to see the local children’s choir and dance troupe. At 17:30, the cozy apple cafe will be transformed into a kid’s disco, and, as evening sets in, grown-ups too are invited to dance to music by a live band and DJ.
