Animated Film Weeks and Sound Performance
Screenings
In German
As part of the heimaten festival, the Greifswald art studios (Kunstwerkstätten Greifswald), students of the Caspar David Friedrich Institute (CDFI), and sixth-grade pupils from the Caspar David Friedrich School present twenty short films created during the animated film weeks (Trickfilmwochen). They are screened at the CDFI’s factory outlet at the Greifswald train station.
Over the course of five weeks, the pupils explored notions of “Heimat” (“home” or “home country”) in the studios and created animated films, drawings, and posters. The short films are shown at 5 pm. At 6 pm, Greifswald-based musician Martin Hiller traces the concept of “Heimaten” using various sources of sound.
