Zwischen Traum und Wirklichkeit (Between Dream and Reality) is the title of a mural designed by Berlin students that also characterizes the arc traced by this event via keynote talks and discussions with historians and contemporary witnesses. The curve spans from the landmark-protected mosaic Der Mensch bezwingt den Kosmos (Man Conquers the Cosmos), which has broadcast the official socialist vision of progress alongside an idealized image of the worker since 1972, to the lived reality of so-called contract workers and international students in East Germany and Potsdam during the East German era.
