Around and Through the RZ to Celebrate 10 Years of Raum Rechenzentrum
Guided tours
This ‘round tour’ explores how the Rechenzentrum—a former data processing centre—is used today as a creative, social space, while delving into debates over its preservation. The tour will explore both the building and its proximity to the reconstructed tower of the Garrison Church as well as its old and new artworks and the way they’ve been transformed. The RZ’s ground floor is graced by a Fritz Eisel mosaic from 1972 (Der Mensch bezwingt den Kosmos, Man Conquers the Cosmos) as well as a Jim Avignon mural from 2024 (Der Mensch versinkt im Kosmos, Man Sinks in the Cosmos).
The tour offers glimpses into studios and hidden niches, meet and greets with artists, and hopefully a visit to the roof.
The event is part of the jahRZehnt-Festival – 10 Years of Raum Rechenzentrum. More information about the programme can be found here.
